Welcome to the Hudson Valley OBGYN!
Hudson Valley OBGYN is a private practice specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Poughkeepsie, New York. We strive to be the best Ob/Gyn practice in the Dutchess county and its surrounding areas, and to provide personalized care to women at every stage of their lives in a private office setting.
Dr. Safajou has been serving the healthcare needs of women in the Hudson Valley area for over a decade. She offers a full range of gynecological and surgical services, and obstetrical services to pregnant patients throughout their pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Safajou is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been voted by her patients as a “Favorite Doctor” in the Hudson Valley Parent magazine multiple times. She has also been named as one of America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr. Safajou is affiliated with The Vassar Brothers Medical Center where she performs her surgeries and deliveries.

We provide preventive, diagnostic and advanced gynecological services for women of all ages in a private, comfortable setting. Instead of a generalized approach, we believe in specialized and patient-tailored care. From the moment you walk into our office, our focus is on you and we take time to listen to you and answer your questions.

Preparing for Your Appointment
Preparing for your appointment can help us give you the best care during your visit. Here’s how to be prepared:
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment.
- Bring your ID and insurance cards. Any government-issued photo ID will work.
- Bring your copayment. Copayments, co-insurances, and outstanding balances are due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.

If you have received a statement and wish to make a one-time online payment without signing in to Patient Portal,

Need to Reschedule?
In case you need to reschedule your appointment, please call the office at least 24 hours in advance or reschedule through the Patient Portal. Your appointment time is reserved for you, so if you don’t give us a 24 hours notice you will be charged a no-show/cancellation fee.

During your first visit, you will be given access to our patient portal. You may use the portal for:
- Requesting or rescheduling an appointment (at least 24 hours before your appointment)
- Reviewing your released lab results
- Paying your bill.
- Communicating with the office

If you have any questions, or do not see your insurance listed, call our office and one of our staff members will be happy to check if we participate in your plan.
